Our client is a highly successful company in photovoltaic (headquarter in Austria) and develops, realises, finances and manages globally alternative investments in the strong photovoltaic growth sector, creating a sustainable value creation. In one of the divers international locations - in this case at headquarters location in Steyr (Upper Austria) following position is available:

Technical Director Photovoltaic (m/f/d)

Your Job:

• Collaborate with development teams to assess technical feasibility and site suitability for potential power plant projects.
• Provide technical input for project design, including technology selection, layout optimisation, and integration of renewable energy components
• Work closely with regulatory authorities and external consultants to ensure compliance with environmental and permitting requirements.
• Oversee the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) processes, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure seamless project execution.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential construction-related issues and delays.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to establish preventive and corrective maintenance procedures, maximizing asset uptime and performance.
• Analyse operational data and implement data-driven strategies to enhance energy production efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for technical issues and provide guidance on root cause analysis and resolution.

Your Qualification:

• Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Senior SolarPV and power systems Engineering & Construction experience (from DC up to HVAC, Control Systems and including Civil)
• Highly proficient HVAC background.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical leadership roles within the electrical energy industry, with a focus on power plant project construction and preferably also operation.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects in the power industry on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of various energy technologies with a specific focus renewable energy sources and energy storage systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse technical and financial data to drive informed decision-making.
• German and English full English working proficiency
